We had a great experience at Juliet Italian Kitchen! First of all they were very nice for accepting us 15 min before closing! We initially had a reservation earlier that day but we had to cancel it because our flight got cancelled. Eventually we made it to Austin, we called them, explained the situation and they were nice to get us in at 9:45pm! Thank you for that! Dinner was great, Michael our waiter was very sweet (I think it was only his first week working there), he asked about our lives, showed interest and made our anniversary dinner even more special with a free dessert on the house! (A really yummi homemade gelato). The food was great, we ordered the butternut squash soup, calamari fritti and pasta di mare - everything was made gluten free so my husband had a great experience as well! The restaurant is very cute, plenty of mediterranean art details, we appreciated that part as well. Definitely recommending this place if you’re in the area!

Lovely service. Great options on the brunch menu. I had the mushroom manicotti and it was delicious (it was even better the next day as leftovers). The pasta Primavera was also really good the cesi beans were just chickpeas, prepared a little different than I’m used to, but they were good. I also had the butternut squash soup and it was soooo yummy especially on a rainy day.

I organized this dinner for 5 of my colleagues and they wouldn’t stop talking about how great the butternut squash ravioli was. My other coworkers loved the lamb Ragu. I got the chicken and shrimp scampi and I would get it again. The Expresso martini was also yummy. I would recommend this place.

“Unfortunate” is probably the best way to sum up our experience at Juliet’s. When we arrived we were very pleased to see they offer free valet parking. After giving our keys away we walked into what is a beautiful outside area at Juliet’s. It’s a nice mix of feeling like you’re in downtown Austin but also not. We went inside to request two seats outside and this is unfortunately where everything fell apart. After being seated all the way at the very corner of the restaurant near the entrance, we didn’t receive water for 15 minutes. In fact, we had to ask for water, as well as silverware, from a person who was cleaning a table- not a waiter. We didn’t order until about 30 minutes after being seated. We noticed that others around us who were dressed nicer for the occasion were receiving service but we were not (jeans and a nice top as opposed to a dressy outfit). This is less of an accusation and more of an observation. It took another waiter noticing that we had not been served to come over and take our order, and that was 5 minutes after we had to flag down a busser to ask for water. We were staying at the Carpenter hotel (just across the street) and decided to walk over for dinner. Wasn’t my first time here, but it’s been well over a year since my last visit. The food was okay - nothing special overall but it was good and the portions were large. They also gave us a complimentary tiramisù for our anniversary, which was thoughtful (and it was good, too)! The service was the best part of the dinner but unfortunately we went a few weeks ago and we forgot his name. He was great though and really made the night! Overall I think there’s better Italian food in the city but the service here is always great and so is the location :)
